We were thrilled to host the very first KHed Talks: In Conversation with Leo Varadkar, an event that proved to be an outstanding success for The King’s Hospital School community.
From his early days walking the corridors of KH to serving in the highest political office in Ireland, Leo Varadkar returned to share an inspiring and deeply personal reflection on leadership, public service and the power of meaningful connection. In conversation with Andrew Deacon, he spoke candidly about pivotal moments in his career, the challenges and responsibilities of national leadership and the values that continue to guide him.
The atmosphere was electric, with students, alumni, parents and friends of the school filling the hall and engaging enthusiastically throughout. Attendees especially appreciated Varadkar’s generosity during the post-event book signing, where he took time with each guest, offering warm conversations, encouragement and thoughtful insights.
The evening not only celebrated one of KH’s most distinguished past pupils but also reinforced the school’s commitment to fostering global citizenship and opportunity. All proceeds proudly supported Global Citizen and the KH Bursary Fund, making the success of the event meaningful in more ways than one.
It was an unforgettable night — inspiring, heartfelt and a truly memorable beginning to the KHed Talks series.
