Rowing Trinity Round Up

It has been an encouraging and successful Trinity Term for The King’s Hospital School Rowing, with students competing at regattas across the country and achieving a number of impressive results.

The season began with an eight-strong squad travelling to the Rowing Ireland Schools Regatta at O’Brien’s Bridge, Co. Clare, where schools from across Ireland gathered for one of the largest events on the schools rowing calendar. The regatta attracted competitors from 77 schools and provided valuable racing experience for our athletes.

The momentum continued throughout May with strong performances at the Neptune Regatta, Trinity Regatta, and Commercial Regatta in Islandbridge.

Among the standout achievements were victories for:

  • Liam (F3) and Anbo (F1) in the J15 Double Sculls at Neptune Regatta.
  • The J15 Quadruple Sculls crew of Liam, Anbo, Matthew, Harry, coxed by Sophie, at Neptune Regatta.
  • Friederike (F5), who secured victory in the Women’s Club Single Sculls at Trinity Regatta.
  • Liam and Matthew in the J15 Double Sculls at Commercial Regatta.
  • Anbo and Harry in the J15 Double Sculls at Commercial Regatta.
  • Liam, who also claimed victory in the J16 Single Sculls at Commercial Regatta.

A special congratulations goes to Anbo (F1), who was selected to compete in the Shanghai Youth Rowing Championship, an outstanding achievement and recognition of his development during the season.

These results reflect the dedication and commitment of our rowers, who have continued to develop their skills and represent the school with distinction throughout the term. Congratulations to all athletes and coaches on an excellent season, and we look forward to seeing the programme continue to grow in the years ahead.
