The King’s Hospital School is delighted to be exhibiting at the Affordable Boarding Show in Central London on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October 2026, meeting families interested in discovering more about boarding education in Ireland.
Taking place at City of London School for Boys, 107 Queen Victoria Street, London, the event will bring together schools and families to explore boarding options, academic pathways and the opportunities available to students beyond the classroom.
As a co-educational boarding school in Palmerstown, Dublin, The King’s Hospital School offers families an opportunity to experience an Irish education within a vibrant school community, combining academic learning with a broad range of sporting, musical, artistic and extracurricular activities.
The school’s location, approximately 20–25 minutes from Dublin Airport, also makes it an accessible option for families travelling from the UK and further afield.
Members of the KH team will be available throughout the show to answer questions about admissions, boarding life, the Irish Leaving Certificate and progression to universities in Ireland and the UK.
As part of the event’s Talks Programme, the school will also contribute to discussions exploring the benefits of boarding education, subject choices and the importance of opportunities beyond the classroom.
The Talks Programme includes:
-
Friday 30 October, 1pm–2pm: Why More Families Are Choosing Boarding Schools in Ireland and South Africa
-
Saturday 31 October, 12pm–1pm: Choosing What to Study and Where to Study It — exploring subject choices and the differences between A Levels and the Irish Leaving Certificate.
-
Saturday 31 October, 2pm–3pm: Beyond the Classroom: Sport, Music, Arts and Life After Lessons — highlighting the wider experiences that contribute to school life and personal development.
The Affordable Boarding Show will run from 10am to 7pm on Friday 30 October and from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 31 October. Entry is free for families and individuals aged 16 and over, with free VIP tickets available to book online.
Families considering boarding education are warmly invited to meet the KH team, learn more about the school and discover the opportunities available at The King’s Hospital.
