The Crown Competition officially returned to The King’s Hospital School, with our Prefects announcing an exciting new chapter for the much-loved school competition.
This year, the Crown Competition has a fresh look, including a new Crown and a colour for each Crown House:
- 🔴 K – Kings: Red
- 🔵 L – Lords: Blue
- 🟡 M – Monarchs: Yellow
- 🟢 Q – Queens: Green
- 🟣 R – Royals: Purple
As part of the refreshed competition, each Crown House will also have the opportunity to design its own crest, symbol or emblem, helping to create a stronger sense of identity and belonging.
The competition is organised and run by the Prefects, with a focus on two key ideas: participation and belonging. Every student is part of a Crown House, from Form 1 through to Form 6, giving everyone the opportunity to get involved and contribute points to their house.
KHPJ Day – Friday 2 October
The first Crown Competition challenge of the year will take place on Friday 2 October, with KHPJ Day!
Students are encouraged to come to school in their pyjamas and get involved in making the day as colourful, creative and fun as possible. The Prefects will judge participation across the five Crown Houses.
Points will be awarded as follows:
1st place: 1,000 points
2nd place: 750 points
3rd place: 500 points
4th place: 250 points
5th place: 100 points
The competition is already off to an exciting start, and students are encouraged to start planning their KHPJ Day outfits over the long weekend.
