It was a pleasure to welcome Lorna Beegan, Class of 1989, back to The King’s Hospital School during a recent visit.
Lorna has gone on to build an impressive career in education in Australia. She is currently Principal of Strathcona Girls Grammar School in Melbourne, having previously held senior leadership roles at schools including Genazzano FCJ College, Perth College and St Hilda’s Anglican Girls School.
Originally from Ireland, Lorna has maintained a strong connection with education throughout her career. She holds degrees from the University of Dublin and University College Dublin, a Master of Educational Leadership from the University of Western Australia and has also undertaken study at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
During her visit, Lorna had the opportunity to reconnect with her former school and reflect on her time at KH, while seeing how the school community has developed since her days as a student.
We were delighted to welcome Lorna back to KH and to celebrate the achievements of one of our alumni who is now leading a school community on the other side of the world.
