We are delighted to announce that Kilian Mangan (Class of 2022) has been awarded a place on the prestigious Laidlaw Scholars Leadership and Research Programme for 2026.
Following a highly competitive selection process, Kilian was chosen as one of just 26 scholars selected from Trinity College Dublin across all schools and disciplines. The fully funded programme develops future leaders through a combination of research, leadership training, and international collaboration.
As part of his first summer research project, Kilian is working with Professor Jane Stout to study biodiversity on Trinity’s sports campuses. His research focuses on measures to support native flora and fauna, including improving habitat connectivity and expanding wildflower areas.
In addition to undertaking research, Laidlaw Scholars participate in leadership development training and attend a global conference, joining a network of students committed to creating positive change.
We congratulate Kilian on this outstanding achievement and wish him every success as he embarks on this exciting opportunity.
