The King’s Hospital School is delighted to celebrate a number of fantastic equestrian achievements from our students over recent weeks.
Congratulations to Marina and Nicky on their recent performances in Mounted Games.
At the British Pairs Championships last weekend, Marina and her pair finished 8th, while Nicky and his pair secured an impressive 3rd place, narrowly missing out on 2nd after a run-off.
The pairings also competed at the World Individual and Reserve Paired Championships, with Marina and her pair finishing 4th among a highly competitive field.
Marina and Nicky now head to the UK for the European Pairs Championships this weekend.
Congratulations to Lillian (F2)
, who competed in the Arena Hunting Trials at the Ploughing Championships.
Lillian helped her team to a fantastic 1st-place finish, while also securing 4th place individually.
Abigail enjoyed a particularly successful weekend, winning the Connemara Performance 8–15 Year Old Championship. Riding Hogan the Brave, affectionately known as “Hocus Pocus”, she also secured 3rd place in the Intermediate Working Hunter.
Brooke also impressed in the show ring, securing 4th place in the Connemara Performance 5–7 Year Old Class with Cupids Magic Shadow, known as “Rio”.
At the Irish Pony Club Eventing Championships in Tattersalls, Moritz claimed victory in the Junior Individual Class and also won the dressage phase in his section — a fantastic achievement.
Meanwhile, Chloe qualified earlier in the season for the 133cm Working Hunter Pony Final at the RDS Horse Show. She went on to finish in an impressive 2nd place in a highly competitive final.
Congratulations to Megan, who enjoyed an outstanding weekend at the Irish Pony Club National Eventing Championships at Tattersalls.
Megan finished 2nd overall in the Opens Championships, earning herself a place on the National Team, which will travel to the UK in early October to compete at the International Horse Trials in Osberton.
Adding to an already impressive weekend, Megan also competed in the Opens Class of the Foran Equine Eventing League, where she claimed 1st place.
Nicky has enjoyed a fantastic international campaign, finishing 4th at the World Individual Championships in Luhmühlen, Germany.
She also finished 5th at the World Team Championships in La Motte, France, and 5th at the World Pairs Championships in Corne, France.
Marina has enjoyed an impressive international campaign, helping her team to 6th at the European Championships in La Bonde, France.
She also finished 5th at the World Team Championships in La Motte and 15th at the World Pairs Championships in Corne, France.
Nicky and Marina have enjoyed a fantastic international campaign.
Both represented their teams at the World Team Championships in La Motte, France, finishing 5th. Nicky also finished 4th World Individuals and 5th World Pairs, while Marina finished 6th European Teams and 15th World Pairs.
Congratulations to Sadie (F1), who qualified for the Leinster team at the Interprovincial competition at Barnadown last Sunday 13th September.
A fantastic achievement for Sadie, who will now compete at the finals in Mullingar this Sunday 20th September.
