Congratulations to Ariv, Sai, Kate, Heidi and Maya , whose outstanding work earned them runner-up position in Sky Up – The Edit Competition, a national media competition run by Sky and Adobe.
The competition attracted more than 17,000 young people from across the country over six weeks, making this achievement particularly impressive.
As part of their entry, Ariv, Sai and Kate produced a 90-second news report highlighting the KH Community Tech Drive, while Heidi and Maya created a written news article. Their submission was praised by the organisers for its creativity and engagement, reflecting the students’ hard work, teamwork and storytelling skills.
Following their success, a group of KH students visited the Sky Up Academy Studios in Dublin, where they took part in an immersive newsroom workshop. The experience provided students with valuable insight into the world of journalism, broadcasting and digital media production, while allowing them to develop their own reporting and presentation skills in a professional studio environment.
This fantastic achievement showcases the creativity, communication skills and innovation of our students. We are incredibly proud of everyone involved and congratulate them on their national success.
