KH Students Represent Leinster in Hockey

The King’s Hospital School is delighted to celebrate a remarkable series of representative honours for our hockey players, with students selected across Leinster Hockey interprovincial squads, national festival teams and regional summer training panels.

These selections are a testament to the talent, commitment and hard work of our students, as well as the strength of the hockey programme at King’s Hospital.

U21 Interprovincial Honours

Particular congratulations go to Benson and Davin, who have been selected for the Leinster U21 Men’s Squad ahead of the Interprovincial fixtures. Representing Leinster at U21 level is a significant achievement and reflects their continued development within the game.

We also congratulate Flourish, who has earned selection to the Leinster U21 Women’s Squad for the Interprovincial series. Flourish’s selection is a fitting reward for her dedication and performances throughout the season.

National Festival Selections

King’s Hospital students are also strongly represented at this year’s National Festivals.

Annabelle has been selected to represent the South County Dublin District at the Girls National Festival.

The school is exceptionally proud to have five students selected for the North West District Girls National Festival Squad:

In the boys’ competition, Morgan has been selected for the Dublin City Squad at the Boys National Festival, recognising his outstanding performances and potential.

Leinster Summer Training Panel Success

Further success has come through selections to the prestigious Leinster Summer Training Panels.

Merize has been selected for the Leinster U16 Summer Training Panel, an important development pathway for some of the province’s most promising young players.

Four King’s Hospital students have also been named on the Leinster South U16 Summer Training Panel:

  • Ali O’M

Meanwhile, Morgan has earned selection to the Leinster Boys U16 Summer Training Panel, adding to his National Festival recognition.

At U18 level, Ellis and James have both been selected for the Leinster Boys U18 Summer Training Panel, further highlighting the depth of talent within the school’s hockey programme.

A Proud Achievement

In total, 14 King’s Hospital students have received representative honours through Leinster Hockey this summer, with several students earning recognition across multiple squads and programmes.

These achievements reflect the dedication of our players, the support of their coaches and families, and the vibrant hockey culture that continues to thrive at The King’s Hospital School.

We congratulate all of the students on their selections and wish them every success as they represent their districts and province in the months ahead.
