The King’s Hospital School community has once again demonstrated its commitment to helping others, raising over €15,000 for charitable causes during the 2025/26 academic year.
Funds were raised through a variety of student-led and school-wide initiatives, including non-uniform days, bake sales and other fundraising events held throughout the year. The generosity and enthusiasm shown by students, staff and families have enabled the school to make a meaningful contribution to a number of important causes.
Among the charities supported this year were the Gaza Education Fund, which provides educational opportunities for young people affected by conflict, and the School for Deaf & Blind in Jordan, which supports students with additional educational and sensory needs.
These fundraising efforts reflect the strong spirit of service, compassion and social responsibility that is at the heart of The King’s Hospital School. Through their participation, students have not only raised vital funds but have also developed a greater understanding of the importance of supporting communities both locally and globally.
Looking ahead to the 2026/27 academic year, the Charities Committee has already scheduled five non-uniform days, which will continue to play an important role in supporting charitable initiatives:
- 23 October 2026
- 20 November 2026
- 11 December 2026 – Christmas Jumper Day
- 12 March 2027
- 30 April 2027 – Blue Coat Day
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year’s fundraising efforts. The continued support of the King’s Hospital community enables us to make a positive difference in the lives of others and reinforces the school’s longstanding commitment to service and giving back.
