The King’s Hospital School is delighted to celebrate the selection of six students to a range of Leinster Hockey representative squads, recognising their outstanding talent, dedication and commitment to the sport.
The announcements, made by Leinster Hockey, see King’s students selected across Under 16, Under 18 and Under 21 squads, with players preparing to represent the province at the upcoming Interprovincial Tournaments and international fixtures.
Leinster Women’s U21 Squad
Congratulations to Flourish and Jessica, who have both been selected for the Leinster Women’s U21 Squad. The squad will travel to Belgium this August for a series of international matches, while also supporting the Irish teams competing at the Hockey World Cup.
Leinster Men’s U21 Squad
Davin has earned selection for the Leinster Men’s U21 Squad, which will also travel to Belgium this August for a series of matches while supporting Ireland’s World Cup teams.
Leinster Girls U16 Squad
A huge congratulations to Merize, who has been selected for the Leinster Girls U16 Squad ahead of this year’s Interprovincial Tournament.
Leinster South Girls U16 Squad
Congratulations also to Katie, who has been named in the Leinster South Girls U16 Squad for the upcoming Interprovincial Tournament.
Leinster Boys U18 Squad
Well done to Ellis and James, who have both been selected for the Leinster Boys U18 Squad. Their inclusion reflects the strength of hockey at The King’s Hospital School and the continued success of our players at provincial level.
These selections are a testament to the hard work, perseverance and commitment shown by our students both at King’s Hospital School and within their club hockey programmes. Representing Leinster is a significant achievement, and we are incredibly proud to see six of our students competing at such a high level across multiple age groups.
We wish Flourish, Davin, Merize, Katie, Ellis and James, along with all of their teammates and management teams, every success as they prepare for their upcoming tournaments and fixtures.
