Equestrian Success this Trinity Term

It has been an exceptional period of equestrian success for students of The King’s Hospital School, with achievements celebrated across Ireland and the UK.

Marina Bolton (F3) delivered a superb performance at the Punchestown Race Meeting, securing a fantastic win while representing the Kildare Pony Club. Marina showed great skill and composure in a highly competitive field to take top honours — a brilliant achievement and a proud moment for the school community.

Meanwhile, Nicky Bolton (F5) enjoyed outstanding international success, winning the British Mounted Games Championships at Dallas Burston Polo Club in Warwickshire, UK. Competing against top riders from across Britain, Nicky’s victory is a testament to his dedication, teamwork and high level of performance.

At the Northern Ireland Festival (NIF), Clara Cully (F2) enjoyed a hugely successful weekend, winning the Side Saddle class and also securing second place in the prestigious HOYS Qualifier — an outstanding achievement at one of the most competitive events on the equestrian calendar.

Adding to the weekend’s success, Chloe Macnaughton (F1) competed at the Northern Ireland Festival — the largest annual horse and pony show on the island of Ireland, attracting over 2,500 entries. Having qualified earlier this season at Killosery, Chloe took part in the Festival 133cm Working Hunter Pony Final and delivered an excellent performance to finish in an impressive 4th place in a very strong class.

Further sporting success came at the Punchestown Festival, where Kjelt Hemsing (F1) ran an impressive race, adding to a fantastic period of achievement for KH students.

These accomplishments highlight the strength and depth of equestrian talent within The King’s Hospital School and reflect the commitment and passion our students bring to their pursuits beyond the classroom.

We warmly congratulate Marina, Nicky, Clara, Chloe and Kjelt on their fantastic achievements.
