This week, Transition Year students at The King’s Hospital School took part in the Ian Daly Swim a Mile charity swim, raising funds for Barretstown and Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) Crumlin.
A fantastic total of 78 students and staff completed the challenge across Tuesday and Thursday, taking part either individually or as part of relay teams. The event once again highlighted the generosity, teamwork and community spirit within KH.
Ian’s father, Brian Daly, was poolside throughout the event to support and encourage swimmers, making the occasion even more special for everyone involved.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of the students, staff and wider school community, a total of €2,788 was raised — more than double the amount raised the previous year. Brian expressed his delight and appreciation for the support shown by the KH community and later returned at the TY Graduation Ceremony to present a cheque recognising the final fundraising total.
Congratulations and well done to everyone who took part and supported this fantastic cause.
