What a year for Performing Arts

Performing Arts are all about self-expression, exploring alternative options and embracing individuality and our students certainly did all that this year.

Our future stars of the stage demonstrated that nothing is impossible when you have the tenacity and passion to pursue your dreams.

Here’s a little look back …

  • Choir, vocal ensembles and solo vocalists were multiple prizewinners in the Wesley Schools Music Festival.
  • Special mention to Alana McIlreavy, Sadie Plummer and The KH Vocal Ensemble who all won their respective categories.
  • TY Performing Arts group win ‘BEST ORIGINAL SCRIPT AWARD’ in the Briary Gap All-Ireland Drama festival for their play ‘Challenge Number 8’. View ‘Challenge number 8’ and ‘Bacon’, the two original 2022 TY Plays.
  • Congratulations to Georgie Connolly Carew, Cian O’Dowd and Nina Damschen who all achieved their Gold Medals (90%+) in the Senior recital Drama exams.
  • TY Performing Arts students with their RIAM results at the End of Year (Pyjama!) Graduating party.
  • At the end of a fantastic year with the first-ever TY Performing Arts group, the celebrations took place in the new, state-of-the-art Performing Arts Barn.
  • A wonderful addition to our facilities, the Barn is equipped with a sprung Marley dance floor, full-length mirror and Blue-tooth Music system.
