Past pupil Bishop Adrian Wilkinson (1980-1986)

KH past pupil Bishop Adrian Wilkinson (1980-1986)
The school flag will fly on Sunday as we celebrate the enthronement of past pupil Adrian Wilkinson (1980-1986) in the cathedral of Saint Edan in Ferns, the diocese in which he grew up.
It will also fly on Tuesday to mark the patronal festival of the cathedral. Adrian was consecrated as bishop of Cashel, Ferns, and Ossory on 30 October.
He’s the fourth KHPPU past pupil to become a bishop.
In addition, we celebrate the centenary of the headmastership of John Harden, who subsequently served as bishop of Tuam, Killala, and Achonry. Dr. Harden, who gives his name to the school library, became headmaster in January 1923.
