We are delighted to congratulate Ellis Powell and James Davis (F3) on their selection to represent Leinster U18 at the prestigious Hague Tournament in the Netherlands this weekend. We also extend our congratulations to Merize Jonker (Form 2) on her selection to the Leinster U16 Girls squad.
All three students have been chosen as part of the Leinster Hockey Development Programme, which brings together some of the most talented young players in the province. Selection to these squads is a significant achievement and reflects their dedication, commitment, and performance throughout the season.
The Leinster U16 and U18 Boys and Girls teams, along with the Leinster South U18 Girls, will travel to the Netherlands to compete in the highly regarded Hague Tournament. The three-day event runs from Friday, April 3rd to Sunday, April 5th and will see teams face top opposition from across Europe in a round-robin format, followed by play-off stages.
This tournament provides an excellent opportunity for players to test themselves at a high level, gain valuable international experience, and further develop their skills both on and off the pitch.
We are extremely proud of Ellis, James, and Merize for these outstanding achievements and wish them, along with all Leinster teams, the very best of luck in the tournament.
