The boarding community at The King’s Hospital School came together recently for the Annual Boarder Awards, an evening dedicated to celebrating the friendships, achievements and unique personalities that make boarding life at KH so special. The awards recognised students across a wide range of categories, highlighting everything from academic commitment and community spirit to memorable moments and outstanding contributions throughout the year.
Among the headline awards
- Jan (F2) was named Male Boarder of the Year
- Lucia (F1) received the award for Female Boarder of the Year
- Pau (F4) was recognised as New Boarder of the Year, reflecting the positive impact he has made since joining the boarding community.
The evening also celebrated the collective spirit of the houses, with Hill House receiving the prestigious House of the Year award.
A number of awards recognised the talents and interests of our boarders:
- Leah (F1) was named Most Improved English
- Daria (F5) earned the title of Most Likely to Be Found Studying
- Nathan (F4) was recognised as Most Likely to Be Found Reading, celebrating his love of books and learning.
Friendships and teamwork were also acknowledged:
- Selene and Kerene winning Best Duo for the girls
- Roma and Maksym received the boys’ award.
- The Best Trio award went to Nathan, Anni and Anna-Pauline.
Several light-hearted awards added plenty of laughter to the occasion, reflecting the strong sense of community and camaraderie within the boarding houses. These fun awards celebrated the memorable moments, inside jokes and personalities that make boarding life such a unique experience.
The Annual Boarder Awards are a highlight of the boarding calendar and provide an opportunity to recognise not only individual achievements but also the friendships, resilience and community spirit that define life in boarding at KH.
