Zambia 2025: A Journey of Connection, Compassion, and Community
From Dublin to Kabwe and back again—an unforgettable adventure.

Earlier this year, 20 students and 4 staff members from The King’s Hospital School took part in a journey that will stay with them for a lifetime. As part of the KH Zambia Project—a partnership we’ve proudly supported for nearly 25 years—our group travelled to Kabwe to visit the school and hospice at the heart of our fundraising efforts.

This was far more than a trip. It was a deep dive into a vibrant culture, a powerful exchange of stories and learning, and a reminder of how impactful community support can be when it reaches across borders.

From meeting with students and teachers in local schools to playing sports, sharing music and culture, and visiting the hospice to connect with patients and staff, our students were immersed in moments that challenged, inspired, and transformed them.

There was time, too, to explore the natural beauty of Zambia—from the breathtaking Victoria Falls to unforgettable wildlife encounters. Every experience contributed to a richer understanding of the world and of our shared humanity.

We’re incredibly proud of our students for representing KH with such heart, curiosity, and humility. They return home with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper appreciation for the role each of us plays in supporting global communities.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this trip possible—your generosity brought this experience to life, and its impact will ripple far beyond the days we spent in Zambia.
