This year 5 brilliant students from KH have emerged as finalists in the prestigious 2023 Maggie Gough Maths Competition. With 18,794 entries from 215 schools across Ireland, our students stood out among the best! Only 55 students achieved a remarkable score of 16 or higher (max 20), and our 5 KH finalists made the cut!
A special mention to Maksym F5, who secured an incredible 19/20.

The Maggie Gough Competition, an online challenge testing the problem-solving prowess of Junior and Senior Cycle students, is a nod to the legacy of Maggie Gough (Sr Mary de Lellis Gough) – the first Irish woman to earn a PhD in Mathematics.
