The festival was born in 1976 as a result of a fundraising project by Frank Hughes, former Head of Music, who played the organ continuously for 92 hours to raise funds for a pipe organ for Myles Hall.
The festival has grown over time to include over 100 schools and 3,000 students.
It provides a platform for young performers to gain confidence and experience in front of a supportive audience.
The festival covers a range of musical genres and takes place over two days in early March at Wesley College.
