The jubilant atmosphere at the Ian Daly Swim A Mile With A Smile 2023 event resonated with achievement, unity, and the spirit of giving back. Students and teachers showcased their unwavering dedication, diving into the pool with determination to swim a mile and, in turn, raise funds for commendable causes.
Their commitment and effort were nothing short of inspiring, as they swam lap after lap, showcasing not only their physical stamina but also their compassion and support for the community.
The Ian Daly Swim a Mile with a Smile is an annual charity fundraiser in aid of Barretstown and Crumlin Children’s Hospital, organised by Brian & Laura Daly in memory of their beloved son Ian. The event has been going strong since 2004. To date, the Daly family has raised an amazing €670,000 for the two charities since the event began so many years ago, which is an incredible achievement.
The success of the event was a testament to the combined efforts of the incredible students and devoted teachers who wholeheartedly participated and generously contributed to the fundraising endeavors. Their tireless dedication will undoubtedly leave a lasting and positive impact on the meaningful causes supported by the event.
