KH Represents Zambia at WCDMUN

Over the weekend, a delegation of Transition Year students from The King’s Hospital School participated in the annual Wesley College Dublin Model United Nations (WCDMUN) conference, hosted at Wesley College.

Model United Nations provided students with the opportunity to step into the role of diplomats, engaging in structured debate, negotiation and collaborative problem-solving on global issues. Throughout the conference, our delegates proudly represented Zambia, working within their assigned committees to discuss topics including international security, human rights, sustainable development and peacebuilding — closely reflecting the procedures of the United Nations itself.

In the weeks leading up to the event, students prepared extensively by researching Zambia’s political landscape, economic priorities and foreign policy positions, drafting position papers and refining their debating skills. Over the course of the weekend, they demonstrated impressive confidence, critical thinking and diplomacy while engaging with students from other schools.

Participation in Model UN strengthened their public speaking abilities, broadened their understanding of global affairs and reinforced The King’s Hospital School’s commitment to developing informed, articulate and globally minded students.

We commend our delegates for their professionalism and enthusiasm in representing both Zambia and KH so positively.
