KH Community Tech Drive

As part of the AIB Future Sparks programme, the KH Community Tech Drive initiative, led by Dr Guru, has made a wonderful impact in the local community by delivering a digital skills workshop to residents of Marymount Care Centre.

During the visit, our students worked closely with residents, helping them to develop essential digital skills such as making video calls, searching for information online and sending voice messages. These simple yet powerful tools can make a significant difference in everyday life.

For senior citizens, gaining confidence with technology offers many benefits. It helps reduce social isolation by enabling regular contact with family and friends, provides quick and easy access to information and empowers individuals to navigate the modern digital world more safely and independently.

A special thank you goes to the students involved—Sai Likhita Lella, Nina Moorhead, Ariv Jain, Rania Demnati, and Lucy Tyrrell—who represented the school with kindness, patience and enthusiasm.

The feedback from Marymount Care Centre has been overwhelmingly positive, with many residents describing the experience as entirely new and highly enjoyable. Encouragingly, other local care homes have already expressed strong interest in hosting similar workshops in the future.

This initiative highlights the power of community engagement and the positive difference our students can make beyond the classroom.
