KH Library round up

The KH library has had their head in the books this term! So many wonderful events have happened in the Harden Library with an array of wonderful books being added continuously.

World Book Day 2024

To celebrate world book day 2024 we invited young fiction author Adiba Jaigirdar to speak with the students. This was also a part of our drop everything and read initiative.

Adiba, a Bangladeshi/Irish author of many YA fiction books, including bestseller “Henna Wars” was interviewed by F5 student Gabrielle.

Huge thanks to our librarians, Joan & Maggie, for organising, Gabrielle, Laraib for introducing our guest, and members of the book club.

Form 1 accelerated reading trip

Our F1 students won a trip to Dubray Books in Liffey Valley thanks to their dedicated work in the accelerated reading programe.

Each student received a World book day token enabling them to choose from a wide range of books.

World book day competitions

In our Senior classes Jimena placed first in the “World Book Day Bookmark Competition” and Chloe won “World Book Day Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner!”

KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards Ceremony 2024

Our students got the chance to attend the KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards Ceremony 2024 before the end of term. The International Literature Festival Dublin at Merrion Square where the award ceremony took place was packed with students and authors alike. Some students were even lucky enough to chat with their favourite authors one-on-one.
