KH Alumni Making Waves in Film

We were thrilled to see two of our past pupils, Peter Vaughan and Conor Dunne, showcase their talent at the Dublin International Film Festival with their debut short film ‘Remnant’. Both graduates of 2018, Peter and Conor had been active members of the Drama department during their time at KH, and it was wonderful to see their creative journey continue beyond school.

The short film, which Peter wrote, directed and starred in and which Conor co-created and produced, received an enthusiastic response at its screening. The story follows Kevin, who, while driving home from the pub, seeks refuge with an eccentric couple after a run-in with a police checkpoint. Though Kevin narrowly avoids a serious encounter with the authorities, his safety remains uncertain when the couple unexpectedly invite him into their home.

This collaboration marked Peter and Conor’s first film together and their work has already been highly praised for its compelling storytelling and engaging performances. The screening was attended by many and the atmosphere was electric, celebrating the achievements of these talented young filmmakers.

We congratulate Peter and Conor on this remarkable accomplishment and look forward to seeing their future projects. You can follow their journey on Instagram at @remnantfilm_.
