The King’s Hospital School has been recognised with the prestigious Digital Schools Award Europe for its commitment to excellence in digital teaching and learning.
The award recognises the school’s work in integrating digital technology into education and equipping students with the digital competencies needed for the future. Supported by global technology leaders HP and AMD, in partnership with government and education organisations, the Digital Schools Awards Europe programme celebrates schools that demonstrate innovation and collaboration in digital learning.
To achieve the award, The King’s Hospital School was evaluated across eight key areas: leadership, collaboration and networking, infrastructure and equipment, continuing professional development, teaching and learning, assessment, student digital competence and the European Commission’s SELFIE self-reflection framework.
The recognition reflects the school’s whole-school approach to digital learning, highlighting the importance of effective technology integration, ongoing professional development for teachers and the development of students’ digital skills.
As part of the programme, The King’s Hospital School has also been recognised as a Digital Schools Mentor School. This acknowledges the school’s established expertise in digital teaching and learning and provides an opportunity to share its experience and best practices with other schools participating in the programme.
The Digital Schools Awards Europe initiative supports schools in evaluating and developing their digital capabilities, helping educators identify opportunities to enhance teaching and learning through technology.
This achievement marks an important milestone for The King’s Hospital School and reinforces its commitment to providing students with a forward-thinking education that prepares them for an increasingly digital world.
Congratulations to all the staff and students whose work and commitment contributed to this recognition.
