The King’s Hospital School embarked on a heartfelt journey, celebrating the reception of the esteemed Cineáltas flag during Anti-Bullying Week—an occasion marked by a beautiful display of kindness and unity.
Form 2 SPHE Class, under the guidance of teacher Lorna McGinn, orchestrated inspiring initiatives to spread kindness across the school. This effort stemmed from the students’ desire to foster kindness, particularly after witnessing distressing events in Dublin City.
Today, students Jessie, Isabelle, and Truan from 2L proudly represented their peers, receiving the Cineáltas flag from Principal Mark Ronan—a moment that encapsulated the school’s dedication to inclusivity and compassion.
Canon Campion, in his chapel address, illuminated the school’s compassionate spirit, emphasizing the embracing of diverse cultures and backgrounds within our community. He reminded us that the actions of a few individuals do not define the values of the Irish people, globally recognized for their compassion and inclusiveness.
The event’s alignment with Anti-Bullying Week showcases the school’s commitment to anti-bullying initiatives outlined in the Cineáltas plan by the Department of Education. The FUSE anti-bullying program, taught to Form 2 students, echoes the school’s mission to promote kindness and unity.
The school community witnessed an outpouring of kindness through a display orchestrated by our students at the front hall, inviting others to share kind thoughts and words. The overwhelming response reflected a heartwarming sense of unity and compassion, fostering an inclusive atmosphere.
