Our European Studies class recently enjoyed a truly international day on campus when we welcomed a visiting group of students and teachers from a school in Sofia, Bulgaria, who were in Ireland as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
Coincidentally, our class had also been in contact with all of the Dublin MEPs as part of our studies on European institutions and civic engagement. We were delighted when Barry Andrews MEP responded and expressed interest in meeting with our students.
To make the occasion even more special, Shane Moynihan TD was also on site for our Green Flag ceremony, and he kindly joined the group for part of the discussions.
The event provided a unique opportunity for our students to engage in meaningful conversations about European cooperation, sustainability and the value of cross-cultural exchange. It was a proud moment to see our students represent the school so well on both a local and European stage.
We look forward to continuing these international connections and to future Erasmus collaborations!
