A Night of Christmas Carols

The King’s Hospital School held its annual Service of Nine Lessons and Carols on Tuesday, 9th December 2025, in the magnificent surroundings of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin. This cherished tradition once again brought together students, staff, families, alumni and friends for an evening of music, reflection and seasonal celebration.

Led by Canon Peter Campion, Chaplain of The King’s Hospital School and Precentor of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the service featured a beautifully curated programme of hymns, readings and carols. The KH Chapel Choir performed to an exceptional standard, filling the cathedral with a rich blend of traditional and contemporary Christmas music.

As in previous years, no tickets were required and seating was unreserved, allowing members of the school community and the wider public to attend freely.

The 2025 service remained a highlight of the school’s festive calendar, offering a moment of stillness, joy and unity at a special time of year. It was a memorable evening that continued a longstanding tradition of celebrating the Christmas story through music and community.
