#TEAMKH – Run In The Dark 2022

The King's Hospital School at The Run In The Dark 2022

A massive thank you to everyone who showed up to support #TEAMKH at The Run In The Dark across Dublin City last night!

John Aiken and Ray McIlreavy spearheaded this year’s participation encouraging Form 6 students, parents, and staff to get involved and run together in this important event. Creating great memories for the students in their final year at KH.

KH has long been a supporter of Mark Pollok and the foundation and we have been privileged to hear him speak to students on many occasions.

Commenting on his mission, Mark Pollock said: “As I lay in hospital for 16 months, digesting the impact of my accident, I was physically and mentally broken. With the help of so many people around the world, I have established a new life living with blindness and paralysis.”

“Now, I’m on a new expedition, donating my paralysed body to experimental research as I explore the intersection where humans and technology collide and catalyse collaborations that have never been done before.”

Run in the Dark helps to raise money for our charity partner, Collaborative Cures, whose mission is to bring people together to cure paralysis in our lifetime.”

Millions of paralysed people worldwide don’t have the option to walk, to run, or even to stand up.

Signing up to Run in the Dark, #TEAMKH joined a global community running, for those who dream to walk.
