This year was one of KH’s most successful outings at SciFest. We had 5 teams attend TUD with 2 teams taking home multiple prizes.
Ariana, Reon and Matthew (Form 4) took 2nd place in the Intermediate Biological Sciences category for their “Grass paper and Cardboard” project. The group also won the “Dawn Meats Agricultural Science Award”.
Maura (Form 4) claimed 1st place in the Intermediate Technology category with her ‘VIPMOD: Visually impaired person’s moving object detector’.
She also received the following awards, “Business Excellence Institute award”, “Boston Scientific Medical Devices Award” and “Overall Runner up of Scifest@TUDublin Tallaght” and has a busy summer ahead presenting at a conference in Boston and attending a young entrepreneur summer workshop.
Phenomenal work from all the students and teachers involved in this years SciFest, well done.
