Special Screening – An Cailín Ciúin

Kicking off Seachtain Na Gaeilge week with a special screening of the award-winning and Oscar-nominated Irish film An Cailín Ciúin, which made history as the first Irish-language feature film to receive a nomination.

Although it didn’t take home the Oscar, this is a monumental achievement for Irish film and language.

An Cailín Ciúin picked up the audience award at Dublin International Film Festival and eight Irish Film and Television Academy Awards (IFTAs).

An Cumann Gaelach along with the Irish department helped organise a screening of ‘An Cailín Ciúin’.

The cinema audience were treated to popcorn and treats.

A great start to Seachtain na Gaeilge.
