Following last week’s exciting news of Maura Moore-McCune’s special recognition at the International Science and Engineering Festival (ISEF) in Ohio, we are delighted to share even more incredible achievements from her time at the event.
Maura was awarded 4th place in the Grand Award category for Biomedical Engineering, standing out among more than 100 projects in what is widely regarded as one of the most competitive categories at ISEF. In fact, two of the overall top prizes at the festival were awarded to projects in this same category, highlighting the exceptional calibre of the competition.
Adding to her accolades, Maura also received a gold medal for Best in Category in the Biomedical and Medical Sciences Category at the ESKOM Expo for Young Scientists. During the week, she had the chance to meet and connect with the South African delegation from ESKOM, who presented her with this prestigious medal in person.
