Literacy Week at The King’s Hospital School: A Celebration of Reading and Creativity
This year’s Literacy Week was a resounding success, filled with activities that celebrated the joy of reading and storytelling across The King’s Hospital School.
From “Teachers’ Favourite Reads” in Chapel to the creative Book Doctors activity, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The Christmas tree in Reception sparkled with Book Baubles, while the “Guess the Books in the Tree” competition brought out everyone’s festive spirit.
Daily conundrums, classroom challenges, and DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) sessions encouraged thoughtful reflection and a love for books. Quizzes, pop-up libraries, and other interactive events kept the excitement alive throughout the week.
