We are thrilled to announce that the Class of 2024 has once again delivered an exceptional performance in this year’s Leaving Certificate examinations. As we await college offers later today, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our students on their outstanding achievements.
This year’s results are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and resilience of our students, who have balanced their academic pursuits with active participation in sports, the performing arts, and our extensive extra-curricular programs. Many have also held leadership roles that have inspired and guided the younger students who will follow in their footsteps.
Among the highlights of this year’s results:
- 108 students sat the 2024 Leaving Certificate.
- 13 students achieved over 600 points, with three students—Ruby Lyons, Fami Kwong, and Berry Bai—earning the maximum score of 625 points.
- Ruby Lyons is among the elite few in Ireland to have achieved an impressive 8 H1s, while Fami Kwong secured 7 H1s.
- Almost half the year group (46%) achieved over 500 points, nearly double the national average of 24%.
- Our median points score was 497, a significant increase from 442 in 2020.
- An impressive 83% of students (89) scored over 400 points.
- 31% of KH students scored over 550 points, more than double the national average of 13%.
We are thrilled to celebrate their outstanding achievements and the exciting paths they are about to embark on. This year, our students have been accepted into a wide variety of college courses, reflecting their diverse talents and interests. Notably, 43% of our students are pursuing STEM courses, including 9 in Engineering, 2 in Medicine, 5 in Pharmacy, and many others in Agricultural Science, Bio-Medical studies, and Nursing. Business and Law remain popular choices, with 35% of our students accepted into courses such as Economics, Business, International Business, and Law. Meanwhile, 15% are headed into the Arts, studying Art, Design, and Theatre, while 7% are focusing on the Humanities.
We are incredibly proud of all our students and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in their chosen fields.
