Students from KH recently enjoyed great success at the Wesley Interschool Music Festival (Wesley Feis), showcasing their musical and vocal talents across a range of competitions. The event brought together talented performers from schools across the region, and KH students delivered outstanding performances throughout the festival.
The Junior Voice group achieved a fantastic result, winning the Junior Choirs (Years 1–3) category. The Chapel Choir also impressed the judges, earning First Class Honours in the SAB 3-Part Choirs category.
There were also many individual achievements across the vocal and musical theatre categories.
- Ewan McKenna was named the Overall Winner in the Under 16 Musical Theatre category, following a strong performance in the Musical Theatre/Popular Song Under 16C competition, where
- Peta Munnelly took first place and Ewan McKenna placed second.
- Leonie Quinn received First Class Honours, while Peter Ni was Highly Commended.
In the Classical Song Under 16 category,
- Susie O’Reilly received a Highly Commended award.
- Leonie Quinn also celebrated success alongside Charlotte Kelly, with the pair winning the Vocal Duet Under 15 competition.
In the Under 17 Classical Song category,
- Eoin Devitt was awarded first place, with Sophie Lax receiving a Highly Commended distinction.
- Lucy Tyrrell won the Musical Theatre/Popular Song Under 17B category, while Eoin Devitt received First Class Honours and Shifra O’Toole was Highly Commended.
Further recognition came in the Musical Theatre/Popular Song Over 17 category, where
- Sadie Plummer and Lauren McIlreavy both received Highly Commended awards. In instrumental performance, Ciara Lensvelt and Amara Roberts earned First Class Honours in the Piano Duet Over 17 category.
Congratulations were extended to all the students who took part in the festival and represented the school so proudly. Their dedication, hard work, and musical talent made this a wonderful celebration of music and performance. 🎶👏
