Motivational speaker – Mark Pollock

Inspiration at its Peak! 🌟

Today, we had the privilege of welcoming Mark Pollock, an international motivational speaker, explorer, and author from Ireland, who shared his incredible journey with our students. As the first blind man to race to the South Pole, Mark’s story of courage, resilience, and overcoming obstacles left us all deeply inspired. 🌍❄️

@markpollockexplorer reminded us that no challenge is too great and that there is “always another way” to push through adversity. His talk touched on topics like the power of mindset, the potential for a cure for spinal damage, and his passion for sports and exploration.

Mark Pollock had a fall which left him paralysed in 2010. Shortly after the accident, his friends created the Mark Pollock Trust to support him on his mission to find a cure for spinal cord injury using robotic exoskeletons combined with medical research.

Our Form 6 students and staff will shortly participate in the worldwide Run in the Dark fundraiser that supports Mark’s charity, The Mark Pollock Trust.

Thank you, Mark, for an unforgettable and empowering session!
