FAQ
How can I stay up to date with school news and events?
We primarily use email to communicate with parents. Messages may come from:
- A no-reply address: 7039082@sims-communications.co.uk
- A staff member’s email: these begin with their name and end in @thekingshospital.ie
Absence notifications are currently sent via no-reply text from a UK number (+44).
Each week, the Headmaster sends out a newsletter by email to keep you informed about school life, events, and student achievements.
We also share regular updates on our social media channels: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. You can find key news items here on our school website, and we publish a termly newsletter, The KH Scroll, which is currently sent via Mailchimp.

Where can I find details about uniforms, books, and school supplies?
Our official uniform supplier is Uniformity, based in Sandyford, Dublin. They also have an online store and stock all required sportswear.
Important update:
We are phasing out school jumpers. For the 2025/26 school year, only students in Forms 4–6 may wear jumpers. All other students are expected to wear their blazer at all times.

Who do I contact if I have a question about my child’s academic progress or wellbeing?
Your child’s Year Head is your first point of contact for any questions relating to academic or pastoral matters during the school day.
For boarding students, please copy the relevant houseperson in any emails to the Year Head—and vice versa—to ensure smooth communication.
For specific queries, you can also contact:

Boarding parents should contact the houseperson directly for any concerns outside the school academic day. Use the relevant house email, such as:

How can I get involved or find support as a KH parent?
We have a vibrant Parents’ Association (KHPA) that supports the school community in many ways, including:
- Student career events
- Pre-loved uniform sales
- Parent and student social events
- Fundraising initiatives
The KHPA is made up of elected parent volunteers. Elections are held each September, just before the AGM, and volunteers are always welcome to help at events.
Every June, during the Form 1 welcome event, the KHPA sets up a parent WhatsApp group for the incoming year group.
