Ms Farrelly’s First Year English class enjoyed a fantastic literary outing on May 19, attending the Children’s Books Ireland Awards in Merrion Square Park.
As part of the experience, the students shadowed the judging process by reading and reviewing the shortlisted titles. They then cast their votes for their favourite book, contributing to the Junior Juries programme that gives young readers a voice in the national awards.
It was a fun and inspiring day that celebrated the power of books—and gave our students the chance to see the world of children’s literature come to life.
