Euroscola 2023

KH Euroscola 2023

22 students from Forms 4 and 5 took part in Euroscola on January 26th in Strasbourg.

Students from all over Europe came together to share their views on media and democracy in the European Union.

The topic for the day was Disinformation and the gradual erosion of democracy and the students took part in a truly engaging debate on disinformation.

They also had the opportunity to ask questions of Raphaël Glucksmann, a French MEP and Chair of the Special Committee on foreign interference in democratic processes.

Ms. Delphine Colard, Deputy Spokesperson of the European Parliament also brought her expertise on this subject and answered questions during the “Innovation Lab”.

They were also joined by a special guest, the Youtuber Adam Bros!

Educating our students to be international citizens is central to our school’s mission, and we’re proud of the students who participated.

The Euroscola Program brings together European institutions, NGOs, businesses, and civil society to discuss key issues related to information and communication technologies (ICT) in the context of education and training.

A big thank you to teachers Robert Shaw and Eimear Kavanagh and to the students who represented KH and Ireland with such enthusiasm.
