On Friday, 24th October, King’s Hospital School celebrated Dyspraxia Awareness Day, organized by the school’s Diversity and Inclusion Group, to highlight the unique challenges and strengths of individuals with dyspraxia.
Throughout the week, students explored tutor group videos on the different types of dyspraxia, its effects and strategies to overcome challenges, including movement-based activities like martial arts.
Aled Hughes from Codex 360 – DCD Intervention shared his personal journey with dyspraxia and led two workshops on movement strategies for managing motor coordination.
The school’s Jazz Band performed Don’t Look Back in Anger, and a non-uniform day where students contributed €2 for the Gaza Scholarship Initiative. The day brought the community together in awareness, compassion and support.
