The annual Sports Awards ceremony took place recently, students were recognized for their outstanding achievements.
Special guests included former SCT captain, current Connacht Rugby Academy player, and U20 6-Nations Grand Slam winner Harry West who presented us with his 6-nations jersey.
Former Irish Hockey international player & Irish women’s head coach (final of World Cup) and Graham Shaw, The Leinster Senior Schools Cup winning team from 1994 under captain Jason Milne & coach Peter O’Boyle.
Dr. Alan Thomas, a former student of King’s Hospital, was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame for his outstanding achievements in rugby, GAA, and rowing. Among his achievements, he played for the Tullamore RFC and Lansdowne FC after school, won the Dublin Hospitals Cup, and was a nine-time Irish Rowing Champion. He also coached championship-winning crews for several clubs and coached the Irish Crew at the World Junior Championships in 2010. Dr. Thomas was elected to the membership of Leander Club in Henley and was honored as the President of KHPPU in 2000.
