The KH Choir competed in the Navan Choral Festival on Thursday, May 4th, taking part in the Liturgical competition and Youth Choir of the Year.
Their performances included:
- The Rhythm of Life – from the Broadway musical Sweet Charity
- Fairest Lord Jesus – Hymn
- Jonah – Song by Rollo Dilworth
- Wayfaring Stranger – Hymn
The adjudicators complimented the choir on their performances, mentioning, in particular, the sensitivity of the choir.
The festival hosts competitions for primary and post-primary school choirs, as well as youth and adult choirs, solo singing, opera singing, and piano recital competitions.
It also features new instrumental competitions for musicians of diverse genres.
The festival promotes Irish culture through Irish Language choir competitions and concludes with the “National Choir of the Year” competition, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Navan.
