Congratulations to our Maths team who travelled to Athlone to compete in the IAMTA Senior Applied Maths Competition All-Ireland Final 2026.
Having qualified as regional winners, our students competed against some of the brightest young mathematicians from across the country in what proved to be a challenging and exciting competition.
We are especially proud to celebrate Aryell, Matthew, and Enoch, who achieved an outstanding 3rd place finish at the All-Ireland Final. This is a fantastic accomplishment and a testament to their hard work, dedication, and exceptional problem-solving skills.

The entire school community is extremely proud of their success in progressing to this prestigious stage of the competition.
The IMTA (Irish Mathematics Teachers’ Association) National Finals for both the Team Maths 2026 (6th Year) and the Pi Quiz 2026 (Junior Cycle) will take place on Saturday, April 25th, 2026, at the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise.
We wish our students the very best of luck as they prepare for the final. Reaching this stage is an incredible achievement in itself and we look forward to seeing them represent our school with pride on the national stage.
