Sports Awards 2018

Thu 27th Sep 2018

The annual Sports Awards took place on September 27th, 2018 in the Wilson Wright Hall. We were very fortunate to have Andrew Balbernie, Irish Cricketer, as our Guest Speaker. Andrew is a batsman and occassional wicketkeeper who played in Ireland's first ever Test match, against Pakistan in May 2018. Andrew was interviewed in depth by our our own Cricket enthusiast, teacher Andrew Deacon, and had some very on point and inspirational words for our students. The 2018 Hall of Fame inductee was our esteemed past pupil, Dougie Goodwin, in keeping with the Cricket theme, who played over 43 caps for Ireland in his career.

Please take the time to click through to this impressive list of winners, some in multiple sports, representing the school and national teams. It is an incredible achievement for these students and we salute them for their hard work. We would also like to acknowledge the encouragment and training from our dedicated coaching staff. Congratulations to them all!
