Girls Hockey roundup

Thu 29th Dec 2016

by Coach Mick McKinnon

This has been a highly successful term for all the Girls Hockey Team and well done to all the students for their hard work and committment.

The senior girls have qualified for the Semi Finals of the Claudia Tierney Trophy, with a school record high of points in the premier league.

The also recorded a fine 2-0 win in the school's cup first round.

A number of the girls are playing division 1 Leinster hockey.

Jade Arundell, Orla Williams, Sarah Baker, Hannah Adams and Kathy Baker have all turned out for North Kildare 1st X1 and many other girls are playing at this and other clubs.

Jade Arundell and Georgia Dunlop both represented Leinster and received Irish Trials.

The Minor girls have been on a good run which has included beating Alex for the first time in many years as well as good draws with Mount Anville and High School.

The first year A girls have a 100% winning record so far including a great win over Mt Anville.
